Discovery report | We report the discovery of a possible nova or known VS at 19.7CV on several 300-s survey images (limiting mag about 20.5CV) taken by Xing Gao at Xingming Observatory “#”3 (N88) around 2022 Nov. 01.62136 UT using a unfiltered CCD (+ 0.6-m f/8 Ritchey-Chretien telescope). The transient approximately located at RA= 00h42m37.88s, DEC = +41d12m49.1s (equinox 2000.0). Which is about 72.6″ west and 199.4″ south of the center of the NGC224 (M31). Follow-up observations were performed by Xing Gao at Xingming Observatory #3 (N88) around 2022 Nov. 29.58 UT using a unfiltered CCD (+ 0.6-m f/8 Ritchey-Chretien telescope). Several 300-s survey images (limiting mag about 20.0) showed that the candidate has raised to 18.6CV. |
