POSSIBLE SUPERNOVA IN CGCG 320-007
Zhangwei Jin(Ningbo, Zhejiang, China) and Xing Gao (Urumqi, Xinjiang, China), report the discovery of a possible supernova (mag approximately 18.8) on a 40-s survey image (limiting mag about 19.5)taken by Xing Gao in Xingming ObservationSky Survey(C42) around Jan .04.96959 UT,2012. using a unfiltered CCD ( + Celestron C14 Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope D=350-mm @f/6.9 ).the new object approximately located at R.A. =16h 09m 26s.59Decl.=+64°22’44”.7(equinox 2000.0). Which is about 11.2″ east and 1.7″ north of the center of the CGCG 320-007.
Nothing is visible at this position on archival images taken on Oct. 13 (limiting mag 19.5) and Oct. 14 (limiting mag 19.5) or on the DSS(POSS2/UKSTU Red) from May. 31,1994(limiting mag about 19.8)
