2010年10月18日晚,金彰伟在SNSP搜索超新星过程中在PGC9168附近发现一个未知目标,考虑到距离银河比较近而且亮度比较高,最后以可疑变星上报,后证实在VSX库中有记录。
POSSIBLE Variable star Near PGC 9168
Zhangwei Jin(Ningbo, Zhejiang, China) and Xing Gao (Urumqi, Xinjiang, China),report the discovery of a possible Variable star near PGC 9168 (mag approximately 15.2) on two 60-s survey images (limiting mag about 18.5)taken by Xing Gao in Xingming Observatory Sky Survey(C42) around Oct. 18.66082 UT using a unfilled CCD ( + Celestron C14 Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope D=356-mm @f/6.9 ). The object approximately located at R.A.=02 24 11.40.14 Decl.=+35°59′ 19.1 (equinox 2000.0). Nothing is visible at this position on archival images taken on Oct 10.66646 (limiting mag 19.0) . on the DSS(POSS-II Red) from 1986-11-27T(limiting red mag 20.8),there is a counterpoint which is about mag 18.7.
