Mi Zhang and Xing Gao, report the discovery of a possible nova (mag approximately 17.2) on a 300-s survey image (limiting mag about 19.5) taken by Xing Gao at Xingming Observatory #3 (N88) around Sep. 24.70146 UTC using a unfiltered CCD (+ 0.6-m f/8 Ritchey-Chretien telescope). Confirmation was made by Zhuoxiao Wang on Sep. 24.75902 UTC using a CMOS with L filter (+ 0.2-m f/6.4 RC telescope ). The transient approximately located at R.A.=00h42m46.30s +41d13’35”.5 (equinox 2000.0). Which is about 22.4″ east and 153″ south of the center of the NGC224(M31). Nothing is visible at this position on archival images taken on Sep. 23.78736 (limiting mag 21.5) . Images can be found at: http://xjltp.china-vo.org/xm35mz.html
