POSSIBLE NOVA IN M31
Wei Gao (Nong’an, Jilin, China) and Xing Gao (Urumqi, Xinjiang, China), report the discovery of a possible nova (mag approximately 17.2) on several 90-s survey images (limiting mag about 19.9) taken by Xing Gao in Xingming Observatory Sky Survey (C42) around Dec. 25.50994 UT using a unfilled CCD ( + 0.5-m f/4 reflector + CCD ). the new object approximately located at R.A.=00h43m01s.49 Decl.=+41°16’59”.4 (equinox 2000.0). Which is about 193.6″ east and 50.9″ north of center of the NGC224. Nothing is visible at this position on archival images taken on Dec. 20.60 (limiting mag 19.9) or on the DSS (POSS-II N) from 1993 Oct.21 (limiting mag about 20.5).
