Guoyou Sun (Xingming Obs), Quanzhi Ye , Xing Gao(XAO), Mi Zhang (Xingming Obs), and the KATS team report the discovery of a possible nova (V=13.6+-0.2). The source appears to correspond to object PS1 176700848943505888 (g=21.9) in the Pan-STARRS DR1 catalog. Discovery was made on four 60-s survey images (limiting mag about 17.3) taken by Xing Gao around 2021 Aug. 27.87 UT in the course of the KATS survey of Xinjiang Astronomical Observatory.
