POSSIBLE NOVA IN M31
Zhijian Xu(Nanjing,Jiangsu,China) and Xing Gao (Urumqi,Xinjiang,China), report the discovery of a possible nova (mag approximately 18.0) on two 40-s survey images (limiting mag about 19.2)taken by Xing Gao in Xingming ObservationSky Survey(C42) around Feb .19.55821 UT. using an unfiltered CCD( + Celestron C14 Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope D=356-mm @f/6.9 ). The new object approximately located at R.A. =00h 43m 24s.07 Decl.=+41°19’23”.7(equinox 2000.0). Which is about 447.7″ east and 195.2″ north of the center of the M31.Nothing is visible at this position on archival images taken on Feb. 14 (limiting mag 19.2) and the DSS(POSS2/UKSTU Red) from Nov. 27,1986(limiting mag about 19.8)
