POSSIBLE SUPERNOVA IN NGC 3304
Jiarui Xiong, Jiangao Ruan, Zhijian Xu and Xing Gao, report the discovery of a possible supernova in NGC 3304. The transient (mag approximately 18.6) on one 40-s survey image (limiting mag about 19.0) taken by Xing Gao in Xingming Observatory Sky Survey(C42) around Jan. 30.92084, 2019, using a unfiltered CCD ( + Celestron C14 Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope D=356-mm @f/6.9 ). The new object approximately located at R.A.=10h37m38.36s +37d27’29”.7 (equinox 2000.0). Which is about 6.0″ east and 9.2″ north of the center of the NGC 3304. Nothing is visible at this position on archival image taken on Jan. 13.85413, 2019 (limiting mag 19.0).
