POSSIBLE SUPERNOVA IN PGC 1221823
Wei Gao (Nong’an, Jilin, China) and Xing Gao (Urumqi, Xinjiang, China), report the discovery of a possible supernova (mag approximately 18.4) on a 3x90s stack image (limiting mag about 19.9) taken by Xing Gao in Xingming Observatory Sky Survey (C42) around Dec. 28.97566 UT using a unfilled CCD ( + 0.5-m f/4 reflector + CCD ). The new object approximately located at R.A.=13h26m01s.99 Decl.=+02°17’00”.8 (equinox 2000.0).Which is about 1.6″ west and 10.8″ north of the center of the PGC 1221823. Nothing is visible at this position on archival images taken on the DSS (POSS-II N) from 1999 Feb.22 (limiting red mag 19.5).
