2011年2月18日晚22时18分在SASP/20110218适时M31新星搜索的A8区图片的右边发现一18等可疑新星。经查证确认是未知目标后于23时上报。
报告如下:
POSSIBLE NOVA IN M31
Hanjie Tan(Guangzhou, Guangdong, China) and Xing Gao (Urumqi, Xinjiang, China), report the discovery of a possible nova (mag approximately 17.9) on two several 60-s survey images (limiting mag about 19.0) taken by Xing Gao in Xingming Observatory Sky Survey(C42) around Feb. 18.56123 UT and Feb. 18.61992 UT using a unfilled CCD ( + Celestron C14 Schmidt- Cassegrain telescope D=356-mm @f/6.9 ). the new object approximately located at R.A.=00h42m02s.32 Decl.=+41°29’15”.3 (equinox 2000.0), which is 440.6″ west and 786.8″ north from the center of the galaxy M31. We also find the fuzzy object at the same position taken by C42 on Feb.15 and Feb.16. Nothing is visible at this position on archival images taken on Jan. 22 (limiting mag 19.0) and Feb 13 (limiting mag 19.5) or on the DSS(POSS-II N) from 1993-10-21 (limiting red mag 20.8).
