Discovery report | We report the discovery of a possible UV at 17.7CV on several 30-s survey images (limiting mag about 18.5CV) taken by Xing Gao at Xingming Observatory “#”2 (N89) around 2022 Dec. 25.54411 UT using a unfiltered CCD (+0.5m f/4 reflector). The source appears to correspond to object Gaia DR3 2838914460001854208 (18.43 Gmag) in the Gaia DR3. Follow-up observations were performed by Xing Gao at Xingming Observatory #3 (N88) around 2022 Dec. 25.66 UT using a unfiltered CCD (+ 0.6-m f/8 Ritchey-Chretien telescope). Several 120-s survey images (limiting mag about 20.0) showed that the candidate has decreased to 18.83+-0.05CV, 25.66734 UT; 18.74+-0.05CV, 25.66889 UT. The candidate likely to be an UV star. |
