Discovery report | We report the independent discovery of a possible nova at 18.38+-0.18CV on several 600-s survey images (limiting mag about 20.0CV) taken by Binyu Wang at Huanyu Observatory (114.6954E 41.8712N) around 2024 Aug. 07.69199 UT using TOA130+ASI2600mm+AZ-EQ6 with Luminance Filter. The transient approximately located at RA= 00h44m10.71s, DEC = +41d54m22.1s (equinox 2000.0). Which is about 974.0″ east and 2293.6″ north of the center of the NGC224(M31). Nothing is visible at this position on archival images taken on 2024 Aug. 05.81450 UT (limiting mag 19.0 CV). | ||
