Hanjie Tan (AUUK), Guoyou Sun, Mi Zhang, Jiangao Ruan, Jingyuan Zhao (Xingming Obs), Quanzhi Ye , Xing Gao (Xingming Obs), report the discovery of a possible variable star at 16.64 Gmag on several 60-s survey images (limit mag about 18.5) taken by Xing Gao at Xingming Observatory #3 (N88) around 29.81720 Dec 2021 UTC using unfiltered CCD and PAT telescope (0.3-m f/3.6 reflector). The variable star is approximately located at RA= 06h21m49.36s, DEC = +27d11m23.5s (equinox 2000.0). Discovery images can be found at: http://xjltp.china-vo.org/xm110ht.html .
We found in ZTF data that the variable star was fainter than normal for some time in the past about 2 years. Similar to VVV-WIT-08 (VVV-WIT-08: the giant star that blinked https://arxiv.org/pdf/2106.05300.pdf) discovered last year. LAMOST’s spectrum shows that it is not a young star. We think its brightness change may be due to dust occlusion.
