POSSIBLE SUPERNOVA IN PGC 2194789

Zhijian Xu(Nanjing,Jiangsu,China) and Xing Gao (Urumqi,Xinjiang,China), report the discovery of a possible supernova (mag approximately 18.1) on a 40-s survey image (limiting mag about 19.0) taken by Xing Gao in Xingming Observation Sky Survey(C42) around Aug.31.89247 UT.using an unfiltered CCD ( + Celestron C14 Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope D=356-mm @f/6.9 ). Confirm images taken on Sep.1.86779 UT (limiting mag 19.0) and Sep.2.83711 UT(limiting mag 19.0). The new object approximately located at R.A.=03h 04m 38s.56 Decl.=+42 13 49.4(equinox 2000.0). Which is about 2.9″ east and 2.4″ north of the center of the PGC 2194789. Nothing is visible at this position on archival images taken on Aug.19(limiting mag 18.5),Aug.10(limiting mag 18.5) or on the DSS from Sep.30,1998(limiting mag about 19.7).
